the cam timing?

It’s a pity that the big chain guide between the cylinders (the V-shaped
one) in the middle is so week on the M62 and S62 engines, the E34 had a
sprocked. One of the bad parts on these great cars.

i have the ticking noise on IDLE only when i rev it just go away would this

That is likely a VANOS rattle. It’s completely harmless, just makes noise
at idle. This won’t really help that.

Post a video capturing the ticking noise. It is hard to diagnose with just
a description of engine noise. Could be VANOS rattle, could be worse.
