hey mate great video. i was being stupid in my e36 coupe and hit a curb
sidways and bent both wheels in. the front control arm is bent and twisted
and the back on is bent sideways, if i replace them will that fix the
problem then get a wheel alignment ?

Thank you. Your video made me feel confident I could do this without a shop
press. I’m yet to test the chill/heat physics concept on a similar material
before I go at it. Zulu’s input is very convincing, reason why i will test.
Thanks guys!

I used a little bit of Silicone spray on the inside of the bushing, pushed
it on until it was at the end of the control arm, then used a 22mm socket
and drove it into place with a rubber mallet. I had used used a pickle fork
to remove the bushing after letting it soak with some PB Blaster. Hope this
helps.

Thanks for this video -very helpful. However, I think you’ll want to chill
both the bushing and the control arm when re-attaching. When heated the
bushing will expand in all directions (making the inner diameter smaller)
when what you want to do is make it larger. Chilling the bushing will make
it contract in all directions (making the inner diameter larger).

Thanks for the video. How do you re-attach the bushing end of the control
arm to the car? Did you buy a new bushing or use the existing one? Thanks
