Why can’t we see the backside of the rotor? How much material is backing up that groove at the base of the rotor hat?
Only if one had opened the brake circuit, as in, replaced a brake line or similar.

Are you not suppose to bleed the brakes after changing Pads & Discs ?

If you want even better performing rotors go with the slotted rotors instead of drilled.

I changed my pad choice so the cross-drilled rotor would give great stopping power. I honestly just wanted to see the difference as I do not track/ race my car. So far they feel great!

Another question, what type/brand of grease did you use on the ends of the brake pads?
Do you open the brake master cylinder for the fluid to flow when depressing the brake pads with the screw driver/pry bar?
i see you first had drilled and slotted rotors..then you simply replaced them with crossed drilled,whats the reason?
That hub cover, I think its made of tin, on my car is punctured, do you know where I can purchase a new one? Or what the part is called?

Yup, sounds like you need the pad wear sensor for your car.
Good news, it’s inexpensive! Pop it in and the light will shut off!

I usually check my brakes every oil change and do them once per year, usually.

How often do you have to put new breaks on your car? i have 99 BMW 323i (E46)
I have to also replace my Valve Cover gasket cause I’m getting a leak from the engine. That one i cant do it myself so I’m letting a friend do it for me who works for BENZ dealership. Charging me $100 for labour 🙁

I used a “Go Pro” camera and mount. And the driving is pretty intense, but awesome!

I did using the pry bar, its a little trick to push the piston back in without needing pliers or a press!
did u not have to push the pistons all the way back ?
Yes, many people actually overheated their brakes! It’s very dangerous at such a steep grade.
