Thanks LDS – it worked perfectly. When I went to amazon to get the
batteries, there was a note on the product telling me I had bought the
batteries in Jan 2013 (I had of course forgotten). I was able to quickly
locate them in my desk drawer and within 5 minutes had replaced the
battery. Turns out these are the same batteries for our Overhead Door
garage door openers.

Replace that old battery in your 335i key fob easily by yourself.

No need to pull so hard. You’ll strip it. There’s a release button, squeeze
and gently remove key from fob.

My X5 is about 4 years old now, and has different looking key, and my wife
has a similar looking key for her 5 series. Long story short, I put her key
into my ignition which caused my entire key, according to the dealer, to
have to be reprogrammed with a brand-new key. I believe I paid almost $300
for a freaking key. I imagine with the key style you have that problem
would never occur since keyless.

Good tip! Haven’t had to replace the battery on my 335 yet. It’s been over
3 years. I bet the stealership charges an arm & a leg too!

“How much to change the battery on my key fob Mr. Service guy at the
dealership?”

“Well that will be an hour of labor so, $110.00”

NO THANK YOU!!
