Nice video, though I wouldn’t recommend touching the positive terminal
until the negative is completely disconnected .. just to be on the safe
side. Unless you’d like to take the risk of being shocked or shorting your
battery out.

No, I did not need to register the batt. Everything came right back up. My
battery had not completely died, so I’m not sure if a battery completely
dies and there is absolutely no charge left, does the car computer retain
all this information.
I got to be honest, I don’t remember and I’ve sold the car since then.
Sorry! But, it’s pretty easy to find the correct battery from Walmart’s
battery guide in the store. It may suffice to mention that I bought the
store brand, nothing special.
