Also, what fuse must I check? I believe it was 67,7,29. Not sure if it’s
the correct one, they all seem to be intact.

blaziankhmer says:

mine never made a sound, got in it today and it did not work. what could be
the issue? the resistor?

YEM says:

The noise has not came back with the new motor. I’ve done a lot of reading
on this and WD40 seems to fix if for about 6 months, then you have to do it
again. I would just get the new motor.

mikegrad77 says:

did your squeal start intermittently at first? I have something that sounds
similar to that, but is not always audible. I’m wondering if i need to
replace my fan now because its going to get worse, or if it could be
something else.

Leo Perez says:

Got the same issue and about to tackle this project this weekend. Was
actually thinking of using some WD40 on the fan and see if that fixes the
problem. Just wanted to follow up and see if the noise ever came back.

YEM says:

It was intermittent at first and worse when I turned the steering wheel. I
guess because the power steering draws more from the alternator, leaving
less power for the fan. Not sure. Blasting the fan on high speeds usually
makes it go away.
