bavsound says:

There’s a part listed in the description that might help. . .

Sindre Larsen says:

I guess im really unlucky cuz my AC unit didn’t fit down where the pocket was sitting, or am I just really stupid?

I have the 318i 2001.

bavsound says:

So hard to troubleshoot remotely Luis, sorry. But I think both the remote turn on wire and head unit are very good ideas if you’ve already swapped the amp. The remote turn on wire inspection would be free though . . . : )

Luis Diaz says:

I will be watching this video when I install my dynavin you make it seem really easy. I know this has nothing to do with the video but my sound doesn’t work at all in my car already bought a new bmw stock amp and nothing so now that’s why I’m buying a dynavin people have told me its probably the ready can anyone agree with that ? Or could it be my remote wire has gone bad

bavsound says:

Check the description for more info on this. Thanks!

TheShow4Sho says:

I have a BMW 328ci coupe 2000, do I need a climate control relocation kit to make this work?

ZiggyC743 says:

Thanks guys! two more questions:
I can’t seem to get my radio out, i’m pulling pretty damn hard but it won’t come out completely, any hints?

Mine is a 2001 325i e46, i’ve heard there are reception issue, anything you guys know about?

Thanks again!

bavsound says:

You may need a “radio adapter” for your E46. Try searching for that. Sorry it’s hard to say beyond that without being in the car. Good luck!

luckycaddy says:

Thanks for this extremely helpful video. When I removed my radio unit it was connected to 3 plugs. Mine had one in the middle that wasn’t in your video. There was no plug for it in the new unit. The unit I bought was an Eonon D5150U, and it wasn’t functioning properly. It had a poor radio signal and the touch screen did not work. Could this third plug be the issue or is it just a defective unit? Btw I have a 2001 325i

BRBroadcast says:

Dale no power tools! …… no dad its my tooth brush!

bavsound says:

You are the first person to ask that Ziggy ; )

No it’s not necessary to disconnect battery. Good luck!

ZiggyC743 says:

Hey guys, could be an already asked question, but did you disconnect the battery before doing all this work? or since the ignition is off you didn’t have to worry about it?

Daniel M says:

Is this the same size as the navigation headunit? Hence making it a direct swap also?

tangapirat says:

Thanks dude, very nice vid. 🙂

bavsound says:

You are welcome my friend. Love you too : )

gokicoki says:

thanks you help me so much 😉

Charles P says:

Thank you very much buddy love you

sdmora00 says:

How do I go about removing an OEM navi screen from my 04 325 Ci? I removed the panels, the center air vents and 2 screws holding the frame but it still won’t pop out. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

globalste says:

I have read that the magnetic GPS receiver works really well if you just sit it ontop of the metal frame underneath the centre heaters

Atdhe Kelmendi says:

Hello Bavsound, I have just one simple question.. Do you have any video tutorial about how I can install an reversing camera to a bmw 320 = )

Tunde Akoleowo says:

Hi

Great video!!!!

Quick Qstn…is it possible to replace manual climate control with automatic???….also, is it possible to replace steering to another with control buttons.

Kai Markus Leder says:

Best Video ever TeX

bavsound says:

You are welcome : )

Zack Bodle says:

This was sooooooo helpful!! Thank you so so much!!

qmixlexq says:

thank you for the answer 🙂

bavsound says:

Glad you got it to work. Sorry I can’t answer the heating problem more specifically. We don’t sell the Dynavin, we just made this video to help guys out. Warm = OK but if your unit is getting very hot to the touch like you can barely keep your hand on it you may have cause for concern. Hard to say without seeing the unit. Thanks.

qmixlexq says:

i got it bro 😀 but after that i had a new problem 😀 the cover in the bmw style did also not fit in the free space around the new radio … i fixed it by cutting it in a fitting size :DD
Now one last question: The radio becomes really hot especially at the heatsink. is that normal ? Could that cause any trouble in there with the many cables ?

bavsound says:

It’s a tough and tricky fit. There is no real solution – you just have to finess the cables into place, and it can take a long frustrating time!

David Mykytynets says:

Will it go on 2003 a BMW M5 E39?

qmixlexq says:

I installed a new radio in my 316ti e46. and now i have the problem that the radio does not fit in there because of the many cables and adapters …

bavsound says:

Hi, yes : )

JayefxFilm says:

Can you install a nav system if you have premium sound

Robert Lewandowski says:

I want to install ipad mini in this car would the climate control fit in the pocket slot??

bert from NZ says:

another great video! thanks BSW

bavsound says:

Yes, head unit is the same between all E46 bodystyles.

IkeBroflovshi says:

is is the same for an M3 e46?

zegolgti2000 says:

i got a 2001 e46 320ci and every time i switch the ignition on the heater turns on automatically, is there a way to set it up so is off when u turn the ignition? because is really annoying to switch off.

42turk42 says:

Is is possible to replace the manual climate control with the automatic one? and does the same if i replace the old steering wheel for the newer one with the buttons.

keep up the good work!

pearlmcp says:

It does not look like you used a “climate control relocation kit”. I have a 2003 330i with Harmon Kardon deck. I plan on installing the Dynavin DVN-e46 system. “dynavin.com/products/product_dnv_e46.php” Will I need a the relocation kit for my climate controls? Thanks

Supramann10101 says:

Also i have a 6 stacker in the back under the GPS disk unit can i use the 6 stacker as well as the Dynavin or not?

Supramann10101 says:

Despite the name… I own a 2002 325ti it came with a factory GPS system in it. Would doing this make much a difference because of the GPS connection or not?

Steven Robbins says:

I have a 2001 BMW e46 4-Door Sedan. My A/C Controls is a twist dial instead of a digital control. i picked up a digital control head unit for $20, do you think I can disconnect the old one and plug in the digital one? Also, my CD head unit display sometimes scrambles and numbers look like hieroglyphs. Any ideas? Great videos!! Im subscribed!

Hobbes250 says:

My 2003 330xi doesn’t have that main wiring harness. It just has two plugs, a blue one and white one that snap in. where does that harness come from? and is it hard to rewire it if I have to?

brodie calvertLOL says:

can you put all size headunits in the e46? want to make sure before i go spending $500 on a headunit that doesnt fit

Jay Markland says:

Hi there, you didn’t mention that you need a different console to take the aircon controls. Great video anyway. i do have a question though, how did you do the usb slot under the armrest??

Thanks my man.
