Did any of you guys have any symptoms of the starter going out? Thanks

Nikki Hart says:

we just did this on my ’07 bmw 328i (e90)! it did just the quick fix i
needed to get it out of an underground garage. thanks for this tip!

Sdl says:

Thanks for the video. It helped me to locate the problem and got my car
started

Emanuel Braga says:

Tried to start my E90 330 on a cold day (5 degrees) last week and it
started to crank and then stopped. Checked battery and nothing. I’m going
to do the same and see if this helps me out. Is this a temporary fix?
Looking to trade the car in !

Andrew Kletrovets says:

thanks man, just got mine towed home and this helped me narrow down the
problem.

Paul Willems says:

Very helpful vid, mahalo for your diligence and efforts. Just used it on my
friends ’06 325i and it worked a charm. Cowl and the shroud under it need
to be removed along with unclipping wiring harness. Look carefully for red
cable to starter! I was tapping the connection while my friend turned her
over. Could feel the starter engaging touching it with stick. Started right
up, saved towing. BMA.com for rebuilt Bosch starter $128 Thanks again!

Agreed real helpful I too have a 07 e92. Let us know how it came out. I
currently have the same exact problem.

Zac Jehle says:

Thank you! Been looking for hours for exactly how to do this on my GF’s BMW
so 1) we can get the car home 2) be pretty certain it’s a starter issue and
not something else. Again thank you for posting this!
