i thought so may leave it too my mechanic lol thanks for the reply.

VTSPQR says:

If it was not clicking, it’s most likely fine. The only way to know for sure is to take it apart, clean it, then inspect it (nasty job, with the grease).

3rk4u says:

how do you know if the cv inner joint is still good and if it just the rubber boot that needs replacing or the whole thing.

I’m glad it helped, & thanks for commenting…=)

Randy DeMaria says:

you dont need air to do this job. i feel like they like to make a simple job look impossible to the aspiring diy’er

Bob Bell says:

Maybe it would be easier to just replace the old cracked CV Boot with a new Split type CV Boot – the kind with small nuts and bolts along the top of the new CV Boot- a lot easier !!!

Frank Inness says:

Very good tutorial helped a bunch thanks

VTSPQR says:

You are entitled to your opinion, even though you are dead wrong.

1st: It is a very light caliper.

2nd: If you look carefully?…the flex line has no kinks in it, in other words the line is hanging perfectly straight down. The amount of force it would take to damage the line is very significant.

Thanks for stopping by…

Mandip Sian says:

Never leave the brake caliper hanging like that. it makes you look like a novice dude..

Did this on my 95 Audi Avant. Thanks for posting the video. I had to remove the lower control arm since my strut doesn’t come apart like your.

VTSPQR says:

They are the bolts, that hold the strut housing to the spindle housing.

J Dub says:

OK, so what bolts that you spray with PB at 2:46-50, and then take off at 3:08-40 that will make “that all freed up now?”

VTSPQR says:

LOL…….I didn’t even think of that. XD
