In todays episode we are fixing the TCU (transmission control module) that is causing the P0706 fault code. Also causing the CVT transmission to randomly ‘forget’ what gear its in and goes into neutral while driving. This is a VERY common issue with these Audi A4s and A6’s.

We remove the transmission control module and send it to Module Masters in Idaho to be rebuilt. This costs about $200 + shipping and did end up fixing the issue we were having.
