Here’s how to fix it (it does work!). The radio in my 2001 Audi TT will turn itself off randomly and won’t turn back on until it sits overnight. I took it apart to see if I could fix it. Here’s what I found and how I repaired it. Cracked solder joints on the 5-amp fuse in the back of the radio. Took about 15-mins. I regret filming this with my cell phone. The audio SUCKS! Hopefully the content is worth listening to that garbled mess. Lesson learned.

It did work! It hasn't shut itself off since I resoldered the fuse. I call this a win!
Update us if the fix worked or not. Also I use an external mini Rhode mic when I’m filling with my phone. It clips on easily and has far better audio quality.
