How to Install Audi S4 Springs | Project B8.5 S4

We show you how to install springs on a B8.5 Audi S4. These lowering springs were installed on a 2014 Audi S4, but would be the same on Most Audi B8/B8.5 A4, S4, A5 and S4 models.

Frankie Mann says:

My lorde that looked like a pain in the ass

Cosmin Oltean says:

Just did this job – spring compressor is not needed on the front suspension. There is little to no tension on the spring.

Dan Nguyen says:

roof ski box install next!!!

SpenceDaBeast says:

yeah don't buy the super sport springs i have them on my MK6 GTI and they are way to low for the streets.. the handling is amazing but way to low…. and also these steps the same as the mk6 GTI?

Kayne weaver says:

Also on the rear it's 100x easier to just drop the sub frame and the spring comes right out.

Kayne weaver says:

Two things..one you can unbolt the upper control arms from the upper strut housing instead of using the pinch bolt side..way easier. And 2 you don't need spring compressors for the fronts. They aren't under any tension..

westonp80 says:

Awesome! Show us the final product and give an idea of the total working time. Cheers!

max olivier Lezer says:

May i ask you how long it took you to do all springs? I have bought the eibach pro kit springs do you know how they compare in height and ride, to these ones?

robsp32 says:

Do you guys have a list of the torque specs used on the suspension components?

Jonathan Cortes says:

Is this suspension components the same as a A4 b8.5? Fwd?

Thomas Rock says:

Nice video, but two things you missed: First, Audi recommends replacing most of the suspension hardware because it is torque-to-yield, which means it can only be torqued once and therefore will not torque to the proper spec again. So you must get new hardware to do the job correctly. Secondly, before tightening and torquing the suspension bolts, you MUST put the suspension at normal ride height, which means you need to measure from the center of the hub to the top of the fender and match that measurement as closely as possible. If you tighten everything with the suspension sagging/drooping, you will quickly destroy your bushings. So take your centerline measurement from your stock suspension before you start, subtract your expected drop, then use that number to get the suspension right about where it will be worth the new springs and then you can safely and properly tighten and torque everything.

Elizabeth Yamin says:

Audi builds beefy suspensions!

GO JONNY GO says:

Great Video! Always a a lot of great information. I am currently focused on upgrading my S4. Is this the best spring to put on a S4 without going too low? I just put out my first video on my channel. Come check out my 2012 Audi S4 & 2017 VW GTI. Thanks!

Simon Werner says:

I wish my pinchbolt came out that easy!

villho says:

Instead of breaking your sweat with upper ball joints, you could have just loosen the control arms from the top. Much much easier job. I installed coilovers for my B8 like that. Of course, when tightening them back, one must jack the assembly up, but thats also an easy thing.

Jonathan Uriarte says:

Really enjoy watching these videos. Very instructional and lots to learn from them..

MrBruster78 says:

Hi, would you still be able to install lowered springs if you have adaptive dampers? If so would it impact the damper settings?

CrimsonPulse says:

A long ass video to see just pictures of it lowered. Gayyy. Unsubscribed

Tomo Mofokeng says:

Morning .I from South Africa and do watch and follow your videos .the point is I tried to create account as to order some tools from you but on the options of countries I was not there, just clarity.thanx n keep the good work.

David Bremner says:

Great video as usual, but wow, this strikes me as incredibly over engineered. I'm sure there's rationale for it being an S4 and all, and I don't claim to be smarter than Audi, but wow… I mean, what a rediculous strut mount. Regardless, keep up the good work!

onedrinkbutnomore says:

Very well explained. Subscribed! Out of curiosity, and not including the camera set-up, how much time did it take you to do the front and then back?

Angel GHR says:

sad i can not buy parts or tool from you because you dont have parts for polo gti
