A6 2012 does not have MMI 2G system. It has 3G+ which is completely
different.

Hey I have a 2006 A6 with 2G Software can you help me how to upgrade to the
latest software?
@youngton27 if you can not access the hidden menu, please enable it first
with a vag-com interface or similar. Also make sure that you MMI is both 2G
and with latest software version.
CD2 is designed to prepare phone and BT for the 5570 update. It clears the
BT memory so it can be programmed properly with the 5570 update. If you
skipped CD2, you can try using it now, and then doing the 5570 update
again. If it doesn’t work, call your dealer.
MMI 2G does not allow adding custom welcome screens. You can only choose
from the factory installed ones.
but not 3G systems right? 🙂
If you have MMI 2G system, then yes. Also there’s possibility that this
hidden menu is blocked in your car – then you have to enable it using VCDS,
VAG-COM or other diagnostic tool. 30 seconds 🙂

Updateing from 1110 should be done with 3CDs. First 1110 > 5150, then BT
erasing CD, then 5150 > 5570.

For MMI 3G the procedure is: 1. Press and hold [SETUP] and [CAR] 2.
Navigate to car > carcodingvehicle > configuration line 3. Choose from
welcome screen from: unknown, standard, S-line, S-model, RS-Model 4.
Restart MMI
It works in all Audis with MMI 2G system.
@ValonFla yes, you can change the welcome screen. you have to: 1. Enable
hidden green menu 2. Enter hidden menu 3. Go to „car” > „carcodingvehicle”
> „configuration line” and pick one of the options

It does work. You have old software, blocked hidden menu or just can’t do
it.

Yes that way i do, sorry i didn’t tell all. Yes it goes 1110->5150 and last
cd was 5570.
It will work with all Audi with MMI 2G system. In 2009 audi introduced 3G
system but 2G was not discontinued, do you have to check whats yours.

about mmi 2g upgrade. It’s simple procedure but takes about 60 minutes.
