0:50 — Loosen the upper fastener of the shock strut mount.
2:27 — Unscrew the front arm fastener.
4:25 — Install the spring on the shock absorber.
5:27 — Install the shock strut into the wheel arch.
7:00 — Tighten the tie rod end fastening bolt.
7:45 — Screw in the wheel bolts.

Great guide. For the S3: Some steps I found weren’t necessary (maybe there’s more clearance on the S3 vs A3?). I didn’t need to remove the drive shaft nor split the ball joint to wishbone connection, just pushed the arm down to get clearance. On the downside, the wishbone and hub are aluminium alloy so the strut pinch bolt was seized SOLID and needed a blowtorch to help it come out (hammering alone just wasn’t working).

Every. Single. Bolt. Completely over-torqued. This is why you shouldn't use an impact to install hardware. Where is the missing lug bolt? Would have been easy enough to replace. This is why I don't trust anyone. Piss poor maintenance practices.
