might as well upgrade and get some metal skid plates under there instead!
maybe i would get new ones for the S4 if you and the dealers didn’t want

Wish VW/ Audi would get their act together and sort this issue out. Every
single VW I had the pan was a pain for falling off and not from bottoming
out.

Vw needs to do something about these because every vw I have had the belly
pan has come off. My 2006 new beetle and 2004 passat and 2006 jetta have
all fell off. I have replaced them but this part is expensive.
