We’re still waiting on the owner to ship some UNOBTANIUM Brake Parts from Deutchland, so we can’t take the Vintage Audi Quattro Turbo Wagon for a test drive just yet…
For now let’s try to reanimate all of the Power Windows and Door Locks back to factory spec.
The Quirky Audi definitely throws some curve balls to slow down the process 😉

I would reckon Audi made slight changes year to year to make it difficult for the aftermarket to make replacement parts….they would have to catalog too much stuff for their way of doing things, and Audi/Volkswagen could have the replacement parts business to theirselves.
You’ve got the patience of a saint getting this thing back on the road lol. Very few would’ve gone to this extent, this thing was certainly destined for the crusher lol
Who cleaned up the paint?
This is a pay as you go job, right?
Thanks for the video Ivan.
never seen any one use a bench grinder to re-key a lock cylinder
on a side note, Ivan I would love to see the final invoice you sent to the customer. I'm not interested in the price of what you charge but the billing for labor and diagnosis on each problem.
The door lock cylinder part was a common failure. I used to replace them , i think a steel replacement was available.
WD-40 IS NOT A LUBRICANT! After a month or so it cures to a varnish. It was designed as a water dispersant and anti-corrosive for missile fuel tanks.
The Audi, a gift that keeps on giving.
How did MR.RAT get inside the door??
$1800 isn’t bad for unobtanium
I have never saw a car just set there and brake
