Brilliant video. Thanks for taking the time.

All have that grey tape..

FCP Euro says:

Sorry no tutorial yet, same mechanism, just slightly different layout and trim. Take your time to understand the mechanism and you should be alright. Hope that helps.

Jonathan Est says:

How much different is it to do this on the rear windows? (same model) do you have a tutorial on in?

Keishil Prabhudas says:

Where did you buy that screwdriver ?

FCP Euro says:

It’s a little tough to describe, it may be best to take a look at the images in the links in the description and try and follow a similar pattern, basically it stretches from one side to another like a violin bow and wraps around the actual motor roller at some point along the way. Sorry I can’t be more descriptive, maybe someone else can weigh in with their experience replacing the cable on their regulator.

Keishil Prabhudas says:

Can you tell me how do you wind the cable around the main reeling, as by accident it unwinded ?

FCP Euro says:

You may be able to remove the top of the interior trim near the window and slide your hand down to release the latch. It’s going to be a tricky one but take your time taking note of the clips on the trim we removed and you should be ok. Give us a call at 1-877-634-0063 if you have any questions along the way.

Hi, very good videos! I got a problem on my 1998 passat 1.8T. I can’t open the right rear for from the inside nor the outside. Is there any way to remove the door panel when the for I closed?

Scott Simmons says:

Thanks! Great job I used your video to replace my passanger side regulator this past weekend I would not have even attemped it without your video. Window works great hopefully stays that way! FYI I broke 3 door clips they cost me $1.06 each at my local CT Audi dealer- Dealer wanted $156.00 plus tax for regulator, bought mine online for $50.16 including tax and shipping – took 3 days to get. You saved me a boatload of $

FCP Euro says:

It could be some component of the regulator, honestly it only took about 35-45 minutes to get to the regulator, it might be worth carefully pulling out and taking a look if you’re unsure, it’ll get you familiar with the repair too, give us a ring if you have any other questions: 1-860-388-9001

My driver side window works when it wants to. Could this be the regulator? I have replaced the switches and still only works randomly. Motor sounds okay because I can hear it. So you think its the regulator? KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!

lobee3gen says:

Excellent work you have shown in this video how to remove and reinstall a new window regulator but is it same with 2005 audi a4

Eric Paulin says:

The video was great. You did an excellent job explaining how to remove and re-install the regulator. Now I feel comfortable doing it myself. If I should have a problem I will simply go back to this video. Great job. Thank you

Dan
