GREAT VIDEO, I GOT AN ISSUE WITH THE SAME VEHICLE… I MOVED THE CAM PULLEY
2 COMPLETE TURNS ADJUSTING THE TIMING MARKS AND IT LOCKED UP ON ME…NOW
IDK WHAT TO DO??
Slow pressure… you need to apply pressure slowly. The more pressure you
apply, the harder it will be to collapse the tensioner. Just pull slowly
and “feel” for the tensioner collapsing.
The tensioner is giving me trouble here. I did it per repair manual but
something is not right removed the tool now tensioner extended is way more
than 8mm not i can retract back,,how do i retract tensioner?
Hey Exo. I just purchased a 2006 audi a4 b7 with the 2.0tfsi. the engine
has 107000kms (66000miles). I live in canada and we get some cold winters,
how many more kilometers should i go before changing my timing belt??
Serpentine belt… would have to be a smaller belt to bypass the air con.
Have someone install the correct size belt and then check the a/c operation.
@oscar amador rotate the cam back a little and then move the crank away
from TDC. Then you can rotate the camdhaft as much as you need. Don’t force
anything or you will bend valves.
Hi buddy I just purcheased an audi a4 1.9 Tdi B6 and recently noticed that
the timing belt bypasses the air con wheel . Who ever changed the belt
forgot to connect the belt over the air con . What can i do ? Has just been
changed 5000 miles b4 i bought it . Any ideas ? Regards Duarte
A generic rule of thumb I like to use is 6yrs / 120k km. It’s always
cheaper to do it sooner than later (belt breaks and causes engine damage).
I’d have to check what Audi lists for this vehicle… don’t know off the
top of my head. Thanks for watching & taking the time to comment!
