Audi A4 Spark Plug & Ignition Coil Replacement | DIY

eManual Repair Manuals for Any Vehicle – http://shrsl.com/43l4o

In today’s video we are replacing the spark plugs and ignition coils on a 2009 Audi A4 2.0T cabriolet. This process is the same for ALL 4 cyl Audi engines. Very simple and no need to pay someone to do this job when you can do it yourself and save hundreds! Make sure you are working on cold engine and also do NOT overtighten the spark plugs.

As always, here’s all the links to the parts and tools needed for this job:

I had an error that my coil pack #2 was misfiring so i replaced all 4 coil packs and spark plugs. Now my car has a sputter when starting to accelerate and seemingly right before a shift. Then i got an error on my engine light. Replaced all the originals except #2 and it still sputters but not as bad. Any idea what it could be? Maybe a faulty coil pack? It didnt have any issues before changing them.

@amm5497 says:

If you know you have an oil leak but can’t get it fixed just yet, would it still be safe to replace the spark plugs? Also can you replace the plugs without replacing the coils?

Thanks so much for the Video. Got a 2011 a4 started shaking like crazy band the EPC light came on with the blinking check engine.. OBD scanned misfire on #3 so I'm hoping that replacing all the coils and plugs will fix the issue.. you made it look simple enough. So thank you!

Dude you are a saint replying to all these ppl (why would ppl think a different model or decade older would have same torque specs or exact same instructions?!? It's crazy how some think all car things are too hard n others think it's obviously so easy even though it's not if you just guessing…. I see it's the same with cutting trees so here's to the Darwin award winners) and kindly at that. I'm getting agro reading these comments. Thank you BTW bc I'm working on my b7 quattro 2.0l and it's my first go with euro cars but not with cars. I appreciate the to the 0oint no yapping nonsense all day or never actually showing A damn thing. Your great thank you!

Is this the same process for a 2008 A4 Audi? Also, is a torquewrench really necessary or can you do it without? Cheers
