How long did it take u guys from start to finish???

I have a 96 A4 2.8L 12 valve Quattro. The starter mounts on mine are
totally different from yours? I have one mount bolt going front aft to
front and one going front to aft. The one in the rear is impossible to get
to and remove. Any ideas?

DouglasClaude says:

How on earth did you get the upper starter bolt out? I’ve been trying so
hard to get it out. I don’t get why they made this difficult to get to.

tpawlowskis says:

This is done the hard way I feel. Took my 30 minutes to get my whole
radiator support off and another 10 to get the alternator out. clear view
of the starter from the front.

WaylonFox says:

When you remove the motor mount does the motor then need support? Or is it
ok to just drop down a little
