Nice repair sequence, wish you had a tripod or similar as i got a little
dizzy, but the info is good. A few questions for you:

1) on the piston, I’m planning to actually drill a few relief holes like
you did. You said you sprayed some cleaner in there. I suppose lithium or
silicone grease is ok? Also, do you open the piston compartment to clean
it or is it sealed.

2) Do you have to only remove the bolts from the glovebox and pop the side
panel? in your vid above, it also looks like part of the center console is
off or is that just part of the glovebox?

3) On my glovebox, the latch actually fell off and a body repair guy glued
it back and it popped back off. Is this a straight fit and maybe just
gluing it with kray glue, epoxy of similar. I suppose the strength of the
piston caused this issue in the 1st place.
