I’m so not ready lol

Charles Jenkins says:

Maybe I'm just simple minded. However is it that much harder to create a balanced rotating assembly than engineer all this extra garbage to compensate? I know it wouldn't be as heavy.

Nigga stop saying no

Randall Gresham says:

Got one in the shop now

Ivan Vega says:

What if you took the chain and guides apart with only the crankshaft at TDC with cylinder 1 at the up stroke? I didn’t have everything lined up like you.

TLT Garage USA says:

Have you ran into the issue where the balance shaft upper guide bolt holes are different from engine to engine. I have three blocks, and two are short, and one is long. How do I get the right guides? Thanks for any info!

Donny Brooks says:

O now you have to change the shafts and sprockets…and oiler?

Joe Snow says:

Smh….amateur

Stan Coleshill says:

Designed future failure feature.

Kevin Steele says:

Screw all that. When are they going to finally get rid of chains?

strattuner says:

there's only one way to win as a tech on this engine, its infested with chains, this design you need to think slick, those links runs hot, that's the cause of the stretch, the best lubricant with sticking power to wipe the heat off is DURA LUBE,i use in my 5.4 chain infested v8,using this product gave me back my 19 mpg in a van,and no friction, the peace of mind is worth the price, every 3rd change add one a few days before draining, forget the chains

one forty six AM says:

That is some b*****

NATE says:

Personally I never quote the balance shaft chain. The parts are insanely expensive. I only quote the main chain guides and tensioner. Never had one come back with issues. Saves the customer about $1500 making the job less than 3k instead of 4K or more.

William Santana says:

My 3.6 passat timing tensioner needs replacement and every mechanic i go to turn down the job….i wonder why
