Shaun McDonald says:

what kind of engine is this

orangestoneface says:

@jimmy101112000 thats why you change it every fifty thousandd miles or km

jimmy101112000 says:

I worked on a ford tempo that its water pump frozed up and tore itself
apart. The shaft bearings were gong and was mangled. I seen this happen on
a Gm 3800 engine also. But both of these were driven by accessory belts. I
have not yet seen this happen to a timing belt or chain driven pump yet. I
just don’t like the Water pump driven by a timing chain or a belt. A $20 to
$30 part they usually does go out at 100,000 miles turns into a $1000~$2000
job on the interference engine design.

Why do u call ur videos “Timing belt replacement” when you dont actually do
it in the videos? :s

Liamautomechanic says:

good vid tight spot in there the peugeot is fairlt tight to work on, not
much room,

writers52 says:

how the hell do you get it off what about the timing belt that is in the
way and way more complicated

arenaseparabe says:

torque each how many ft lbs ETC

Randall Matthews says:

***VERY IMPORTANT*** For all who follow this video you are on the right
track. I replaced my water pump using these videos and it was a life saver
for me. After I finished the engine the timing seemed to be off when trying
to start. Tore it down and checked the timing marks and they were correct..
Then I ***VERY IMPORTANT*** unplugged the cam sensor on the drivers side of
the head, tried to start again with no luck, plugged sensor back in and
BINGO. DON’T FORGET TO RESET THE CAM SENSOR

Bob G says:

But have you ever heard of one locking up? I’ve seen them leak or get lose
but never lock up.

Liamautomechanic says:

good vid tight spot in there

josh mor says:

he should of used an extension.

portboy4life420 says:

pfft show how u got to it u fucking moron – all u shjowed was screwing it in

Stovokor41 says:

Good on you guys for making the effort to go out and make these videos then
upload them. But I must say they leave a LOT to be desired.

jimmy101112000 says:

I want to see him replace the water pump on a Gm twincam 2.4L or the LD9 or
the quad. That sucker is driven a timing belt. I hate that design. Reason
being is the pump can lock up and shed your belt then if its an
interference engine your really screwed.

Mudsie says:

Could a car being flushed (an older car) be the cause of a water pump
going? I took my car to the mechanic and they reccomended a flush but now
it’s leaking antifreeze everywhere and my friend who used to be a mechanic
said it was because it was from the flush.

Bob G says:

It does seem dangerous. However, the interference engines do tend to be the
most reliable. Not sure why but these Hondas, etc are legendary for
longevity.

TheInfamousBertman says:

jagshemash3 says:

i gotta do mine soon
