The good ol’e days of the B series timing belt taking 30 minutes are
over…. damn….
Hey i have a 03 honda accord with a k24 and i do all the steps with the
timming chain and i have spark gas air and crank but to compression. Just
wondering if u could help or anything.
thank you for taking your time to make this video. its very very detailed.
Great job… I”M gonna do mine tomorrow. your video gave me courage
HELP PLEASE guys I’m really sorry this is going to sound stupid but, how
comes this has a timing belt and a chain? isnt there just meant to be one
of them? can you just let me know where im going wrong please.
Nice job. is it similar to the 2004 accord 2.4?, my car has a vibration I
already replaced both inner joints and one engine mount and checked other 2
they are good, and the still vibrates I wonder if it could be the timing
chain on the balance shaft jumped the tooth
Have you replaced this video with a new version recently?
Thanks a lot for this video, just finishing up my accord with P0341.
VERY HELPFUL VIDEO, im planing to do it on my K24 engine, which is close
identical, need to replace the chain too, coz i hear mine was rattling
since it already has 350,000kms on it, i guess its time to replace it, and
by the way does it need to give the auto tensioner an extra click or just
release the pin? thanks to you and your dad.
how many miles has the type r done?
Mines just started rattling under load only in higher gears at lower revs..
Think id get away with just replacing the tensioner? Only covered 79k
miles, although previous owner liked a heavy foot…
Iv never fitted one and I have a headache looking at this one being done
lol
I have a ep3 in garage (second car) i read honda claims the chain doesnt
have to be replaced but seeing the two chains side beside my jaw drop ..
im a welder not a mechanic but with proper research i might be able to
handle this thanks to your video thanks
Very informative video thanks for posting just did the chain and tensioner
on a friends k20 powered EG civic. Pulled the engine out as there is even
less room in a EG 1.4 engine bay with a K20 fitted LOL.
Big respect to you, I’ve just finished the job on my EP3 and I used your
guide and the PDF you linked to help me along the way.
Massive thanks for taking the time to film, annotate and upload this video.
Your the man!
How come on crankshaft its out 1 tooth but its left that way surely it
should b moved 1 tooth ?
I just did mine in a K24 engine. its about a 4 hr job . the only thing is
make sure you put the crank plate the right position it says outside . I
didn’t at first and the car barely ran and got a crank code . had to take
it apart again to switch the plat and it ran fine.. this video helped alot
Thank you
except you left out on how to reload the chain tensioner lol you made it
look easy thanks again

My bad it was .lol
Thanks for posting this – it’s going to be a big help digging into my 09
Acura TSX – also just got the P0341 ECU code this past weekend (which also
disabled the VSA control too). This has inspired me to go the DIY route.
I thought his gona start up the engine and prove that its working never
mind ….
Nice video…it made me realize I better pay a professional to do it.
really good video thanks
look very complicated with such minimum space to work.. i think it would
take as much time to just pull motor out lol
great video
