WARNING!!! DO NOT use 20 pounds of force to pull your mirror off as this guy leads you to believe. I now have to replace my windshield because it cracked. I looked on a different site after the fact- all you have to do is pull down with MINIMAL FORCE and rock it side to side

mine keeps coming off, the mirror is still good but comes off all the times and hangs by the wire. how do i fix that??

Thanks for posting this! I have a 2000 RL and the mirror leaked out, so I’m looking at replacing the mirror myself. This is extremely helpful!
I have the same car, and the same bad mirror. I just ordered my replacement off eBay for the same price as you – probably from the same dealer!
