Hello, one and all! Thank you for stopping by to watch our 2009-2014 Acura TL side view mirror replacement video. I personally use to own this model TL and I sure do miss it. It’s such a smooth and long-lasting vehicle. It is so important to have a working mirror and extremely dangerous to not have one. There are a lot of bad drivers out there and not to mention it may be illegal to drive without one or both fully operating side view mirrors.

TOOLS NEEDED:
You need a 10mm wrench or socket wrench. Panel clip pliers if you are removing your door panel but you can also use a small flat head screwdriver.

REPLACEMENT PROCESS:
We love changing outside view mirrors. The process is so very simple yet very rewarding. You want to get access to the side view mirror base. Just pop off the window trim gently to get to the nuts holding the mirror on the door. You do not have to remove the door panel to replace your side view mirror. We could have gone on just fine with not taking it off but then we would not have able to show you how to remove the plug. We like to do less work but loosening the door panel is also another option if you cannot get your hands in there. There is also the far left bolt that can be tricky to get to if you do not fully remove the door panel. Luckily we had a wrench or ratcheting wrench that took care of that quickly.

Once your install your new mirror. Make sure that the functions of the mirror work properly before finishing. You do not want to have it completely installed to later find out the signal doesn’t work. The rest of the steps from here are easy-peasy. You want to make sure that the rubber weather strip on the door sits over the plastic window trim. Voila, you have just now installed your brand new side-view mirror on your Acura TL. We knew you could do it this whole time!

Would this method be similar for an Acura TSX 2009?
