Great vid i had a hard time understanding the three teeth method on forums
and write ups but i totally got it after you tutorial. Well i noticed that
your motor was out of the car. How did you loosen the crank pulley bolt?
This video is a life saver. I got to where my belt was tight on the exhaust
side but loose on the intake side. After watching your video I know I have
to loosen the tensioner bolt again do it will take that slack out. Thanks!
thanks for uploading, your wright there are different ways to set it. a lot
of people forget that the engine expands when warming up(hence more
tension)the three tooth is what WM says.but before that turn the crank 6
times.you could also use the 5 mm holes in camshaft to lock it,get the belt
on crank pull it on exhaust side first.and check and check again.
nice video.. i use to have a hard time doing the timing properly. every
time i think its correct, turn it one or two revolution and its off.. lol
but now i just got done with mine and with ur trick i got it on first try..
felt good!!.
This will greatly help me put my timing belt back on my B18a without
causing damage. I like how you loosened the tensioner to allow equal amount
of force around the circumference of the belt.
hey i got a question? my car cranks but no start i notice my timing is
loose … could that cause my car not to start … ?? 1991 Ls da9 running
b20vtec with gsr tranny
what would help others, crank pulley does have thee marks on them and
timing cover has a tdc mark as well.if your changing the belt with motor
still on car
thank you for posting this. The helms manual says to turn the crank 3 teeth
with the tensioner bolt LOOSE. Also, the helms says to do 5 or 6 full
rotations before tensioning it to set the belt. Is there a reason you do it
the way you showed?
Great tutorial ! The only thing that worries me is that I’ve never done a
timing belt change my question is should I adjust timing twice meaning
setting it up without the belt then with the belt ?
Great video! I have a question. I changed out my head gasket on my 91 stock
b18b1 integra. Putting the timing belt on, it seems I have way too loose of
a tension. Should your way on tightening the tensioner bolt twice do the
trick? I keep getting TDC on the the exhaust and crank pulley but my intake
cam roughly jumps two teeth per cycle. Should my tensioner need to be
replaced?
OMFINGG THIS MADE MY LIFE SUPER EASIER THANKS SUBRIBTION PLZ ANY OTHER
THINGS
How many hours is this supposed to take to get done?

Fucking awesome
how you do it inside the engine bay because you cant see the top dead in
the oil pump. and you cant tell the 5 degrees in the plastic TDC mark.

This is an awesome vid bro. I have it saved on my phone now. Great
technique to do timing by hand.

Are you Mexican?
You may just need to replace the tension spring. If u have the extra money
i would replace both spring and bearing
Thank you so much! Great video
