Here to say that these instructions were SPOT ON and super helpful after all these years. The screws inside the door were the trickiest part but appreciated the instruction here. Thank you for posting!

Can’t thank you enough for this video. Both my front doors needed this part. Got the pair for $100CAD and got into the job today. Passenger door slightly easier than driver’s side, but almost identical process. I found that getting the “anti-jimmy” part back on was difficult, thanks to brittle plastic. On the driver’s side, I just discarded it. I doubt anyone will try steal a 2005 MDX. At least I hope not, I love her so much! So great to have my remote key working fully again. Thank you!!!!

Just did this repair and your vid was the perfect walkthrough! Yeah, it was a beast getting those screws having to use the phone as a scope, haha! You saved us a bundle of money. Thank you so much!

Thank you so much for the videos, both the front and the rear doors. Great instructions and videos.

I'm looking for a Acura RL 05 driver door actuator replacement video, anyone got any pointers?

Rivers says:

Howdy! I know the video says the process is the same for left and right doors, but I just wanted to make sure the driver's door doesn't have any additional steps? I started trying to take the door handle off and it didn't work as easily as the other doors, so I didn't want to continue prying without making sure all the connections are the same. Thanks!

Alleycat says:

Great job!! Very detailed!!

I’ve owned my 2005 MDX from new. I have changed 4 actuators over the years. Your video helps every time.

Will I be able to do this with the door locked? Its stuck and i need to see what's going on…

J C says:

Hi, for my 2011 MDX driver door, is the procedure similar? Thanks.

Perfectamente explicado…

Hands down the best auto instructional video I’ve ever watched. You made it look easy and it in fact was much easier than I would have made it without this resource. Keep up the gold work and thanks for saving myself and my girlfriend the money it would have cost to replace this!

Tom Muñoz says:

Thanks for the how-to video step-by-step tutorial. Was able to replace the driver side door on my 2005 Acura MDX. Took me just under 2 hours compared to the 9+ minutes length of your video trying to make sure I was careful and not being overly aggressive when pulling things apart. Good stuff.

Hank Lindo says:

You are the best Brian, all was well explained thank you sir

Jonathan F says:

I have 3 actuators that stopped working on me so this video will potentially save me over $1000! Anyone know why old MDX actuators are so prone to breaking? I’ve heard the same thing from other people with this car.

Brian Fedders says:

Best video on the subject..THANKS
