could somebody explain why he didn’t bleed the brake fluid after
unclamping? isn’t there an air bubble in there where the hose was pinched
off? Wasn’t the fluid that came out into the bottle inside the piston
alone? I’m dumb and confused.
and for me, The indicator, when I went to put the pads on the indicator got
cought and I couldn’t figure out why the pad wouldn’t go in, So I had to
push it into the right spot with screwdriver
Why is it so important not to get fluid back into the master cylinder? :s
Once again, excellent tips! I kinda/sorta know what i’m doing but always
learn from you Eric. Thanks.
@ 14:42 My 99 acura 3.5rl is just a hole… Only a rim no slot ot
anything…
Eric the car guy.. best tech…
With all the benefits of Antiseize why cant it be used alone on brake jobs?
On the guide pins and such.
Compressors are reversed. No wonder I couldn’t get my insert between the
fat ends. Thanks.
Springs: fellow at work used to be employed at a mattress factory until he
saw a fellow worker have a spring uncoil in his hand and come out his upper
arm. He quit immediately.
Here’s a tip, if you are dealing with old calipers and run the risk of
snapping the bleeder screw off, bleed the system at the banjo bolt instead.
I had to do this during diagnosing excessive pedal travel that was ever so
conveniently consistent(sarcasm) My gut and experience told be it was a MC
issue but I covered all the basics before condemning it(bleeding the entire
system was involved) Oh and people, please learn to use your parking
brake, please.
Thanks bro your the shit
You would make such a great instructor.
you are doing gods work here .sir
i love this video, i have had the same problem with those screws and i
never put them back in, are we required to ???
Rear brakes, Audi A4. check the link below.
Eric: from Costa Rica, thanks for all your info . It s the web s university
for many of us, education on line and it has costed you a lot of
dedication in order to teach us , thanks , gracias
Why not just use C clamps? fast and easy!
Why don’t you want brake fluid pushing back up into the master cylinder?
Good job, mate. I felt like I was sitting next to you.
I use a pry bar between the pad and caliper after i open the cap on master
cylinder and most times the piston is back far enough to get new pads i
know some have ceramic pistons so i am careful just don’t always have a c
clamp and is easier sometimes but not on the back forgot about the screw
in
Thanks eric for showing me how to be a mechanic. I appreciate it.
Would it be safe just to use a pair of channel locks to compress the
cylinder?
Learned a couple new things by watching. Thanks Eric
2007 element rear disc, I was not able to get the rotor off the car it
seem like I have a parking brake working inside holding my rotor
is this the way the element works?
Excellent tips! 😉 you are doing a very gods work!
Thanks Eric
What is the reasoning behind openning the bleed screw when pushing the
piston in?
Remember,,, nothing is ever easy
Hoes on Hoes. Totally did not read into that
Sup Eric. I know you always emphasize to use silicon paste for the caliper
pins but is it ok if I use CV joint/boot grease?
Great job. Thank you Eric, with the tips from you it make a sence. Thx
dude!
great video tanx Eric!
hose on hose
great videos. Is there any way to back off the adjustment on the parking
brake on a dodge caravan 2005
I just did my rear brakes! Thanks a lot for this video. I drive a ’96
Integra, so it was very similar to the Accord in the video. Quick question,
how do you know the brake pin is lined up with the notch in the caliper’s
piston? I turned it to the 12 o’clock position as you showed.
Thanks that was just What I needed
I appreciate this video. Helped me knock my job out. Thanks Eric.
Would this work on a car with an electrical parking brake?
thank you very much . ! you are very good teacher ;)
