To remove the ball joint ditch the socket. Just put the nut on the thread and wack it with a hammer. It will come out easy
That tool also removes the ball joint.
What car is this?
Honda lower ball joints don't have c clips. I just learned that today, if they're aftermarket they do. But the tech didn't know what I was talking about lol so yeah, GH products don't have the C Clip
Is there a reason why you did not use the specialty tool to remove it?
Hey, so I'm replacing the Upper and Lower Control arms, Inner and Outer Tie Rods, Ball Joint, and new struts. Is there an order you would recommend removing everything?
Also, should I completely take everything off or replace one part at a time (example: take upper control arm off, replace upper control arm, take off lower control arm, replace upper control arm)
