Nice video, I just recently got the "Tighten Fuel Cap" a week ago & it went away. I just got home from super heavy traffic today & right before parking the car the message came back.

The thing is I know this is a common problem on the 3rd-Gen TL. But I have 4th-Gen (2010) I can't seem to find anything on this no where. Will replacing this solenoid on my 2010 fix this problem?

Bless.

Osman Maldonado says:

Hey boss by any chance do you know how to replace the driver side exterior door cap?

Darrel P says:

Does this also solve performance issues? Ex. Car is pretty slow under v-tech in hot weather.

David Ruiz says:

Great tutorial on this part fix. I had the "check fuel cap" light come on but it went away and then a day later I had a check engine light come on. Took it to my local Auto Zone for the code, exact same part as what you have is needed to get the fix. My only question is, where exactly is it located? Looks to be by the battery side..

reamz tls says:

ha-ha-ha its true i did this 6 months ago. Anyone who gets the "tighten fuel cap" must do this, due to a faulty evap purge control valve.

BlockParty says:

Don't you just hate those cheap harbor fright gloves lol they always ripping. I'm going to try the black ones. But great video.

Jean Paul Ponce Salas says:

This morning a message appeared telling me to tighten the gas cap, but it was tight and a few weeks ago I also saw the same message. Now I notice and I think it has the same title as the video, could it be that the message of the car is shown because the piece that you change in your video, in my car will be damaged?

Jean Paul Ponce Salas says:

What is the function of this piece, or how is it wrong?

Hawar Mustafa says:
