too much work mate, that bloody rim is gonna get scratched again anyway.
its bloody annoying. i wish the roads had tyre friendly kerbs, lol

Andrew R says:

Always read the instructions on the wax and grease remover, It’s such a
simple product no one ever does. Most will say wipe on and wipe off while
wet. DO NOT let wax and grease remover dry on the surface. I always wipe
down with Metho after wax and grease remover. Technical reason is because
Wax and Grease is such a slow solvent that any left will try and migrate
out through your paint and cause pin holes.

George Darren says:

Nice job and good teaching mate.Cheers!

WhiteHammer says:

I assure you, by the time you spent all that money to repair the rim,
you’ll be more then half way mark of the cost for a brand new one. Because
you’re going to do it for the first time, there is a good chance not
getting right. So save your selves time and effort, plus a few swear words,
just buy a new rim the first time.

Ian Hugo says:

dont you ever reply to peoples questions very rude not to

Gus Silva says:

Is it the same process with chrome wheels? I have to fix mine and 2 of them
are pretty bad

92saputra says:

nice work, im going to do the same thing with mine.

Chris says:

Hey mate. Great video thanks. I just scratched my Rays 57dr wheels. They
are semi gloss black and Volk Racing doesn’t really release paint codes.
I’ve called a few places to have it fixed. Some of them said that they can
just repair the scuffed area whilst other people said they have to respray
the whole wheel. I’m just a bit worried that the paint isn’t going to
match my other 3 wheels. I heard you saying in the video that you have to
take the clear code on the whole wheel rather than just the damage area.
Is that for all colours ? Will semi gloss black blend in easier ?

BillyfromConsett says:

Excellent tutorial. Everything clear. If I could get a spare wheel, thanks
to your tutorial, I could do it.

Tony Dinh says:

strong?

Luv2Snaggle says:

What kind of body filler do you use? Could I just use Bondo, or do I have
to get the body filler with aluminum reinforcement?

Cody Sinclair says:

Thanks heaps for the video! My mother in-law scraped the shit out of my
front left rim!

KillerNumberX says:

Ugly color.

Lyon Iskandar says:

What pressure did you use for spraying Primer, Base and Clear? Also what
mixture of paint/thinners did you use for primer, base and clear? +

Bruce W says:

Wow, that is actually a lot of work. I think I’ll check on having someone
do this for me. Since I need my car daily, it would be hard for me to do
all of this work and work my schedule too. If others did the work, it
might be a few days of their time, but perhaps more economical for me.
Good video though.

07jacklad says:

Really stuffed up my rear rim on my impreza the other day and the rash is
pretty deep, how much do places usually charge to fix it up to look as good
as new ?

I was painting pw50 wheels today, while they were still wet and hanging
from hooks, I dropped one. Now I have to Re-sand, re-prime, re-sand and
repaint. Uuugghhh. The joys of refurbishing.

Dc2 says:

Daniel Albrittain says:

Emanuel Hernandez says:

Is there a way to fix chrome wheels?

jeffinism says:

for twenty bucks you get plenty of sheets and when your done with a batch
of filler you rip off the sheet and bin it.
