How to install a Power adapter that lets you tap power from your auto dimming powered rear view mirror and power your dashcam. Dongar seems to be the only ones that manufacture these adapters.

I use them on all our vehicles. It beats having to try and hide a power wire under the dash, inside or behind the pillar (if you can get to it) and then under the headliner. Inevitably the wire will fall out somewhere along the route and hang there.
