05 civic fixed! Thanks for sharing!!!
Great tutorial, trying it this weekend, can’t promise I won’t be
swearing… If my high beam lights aren’t working at all anymore, should
this fix that problem? I’ve had an issue with the DRL for at least a year
and neglected repairing it for too long.
Excellent demo. But what are you doing to the iron off-screen?
@weefella84 What year is the Civic? Just so everyone knows. Thx.
my drl light is on but I’m pretty sure it was like this when I bought it
(with the safety/e-test done by the seller).
@seesthemoment I would check to be sure that none of the contacts you
solderd have bridged themselfs…….If you didnt change anything or short
anything out it is a bit of a mystery……Unless somthing else burned
out……….but realy tho I am no professional so I can only guess…srry.
I realy hope you can get your lights working.
yvw
Not sure where it is in the 04,,,check all the comments here, maybe you
will find someone with similar car and could ask them. I also know very
little about car starter installs. Sorry I could not help you more. Call
the dealership maybe? cheers.
lol!
OHHHHH,,,thanks man. I hope FreeRussian sees your comment. Cheers !
Can you make a video on how to disable the drl too? Is there a use to pull
out from the fuse box? Greatly appreciated thatnks!
no prob. cheers.
You are very welcome Wen Qing Qian. This video has turned out to be very
rewarding due to the amount of people that it has helped save money.
Hey, thanks for your video, fixed a ’03 Civic, the grey box is above the
clutch pedal. Eric, Vancouver, Canada.
This is on recall with Honda. It is actually the sensor in the seat belt
latch that is the problem.
This should fix your DRL issue,,,I have helped many people with many
different types of import cars and trucks solve this issue. As for your SRS
light being on I do not have any info for you. I got rid of my Honda and
bought a VW, Best decision I have made in a long time. Good luck man 🙂
Thank you very much for your video.I fixed same problem of my honda civic
2004 SE today.the grey box is on the left side of steering wheel.
@7863348 Your welcome, this is the reason I made the vid.
Thank you soo much saved me a trip to canadian tire!! We just fixed my 98
accord.
just like to thank you ,just fixed my 1991 accord ,by watching your video
,i was reluctent to try but it was so easy only trouble i had was clipping
the module back on ,i think i cracked it but i just tucked it back up then
put some duc tape on ,plugged it back in and worked like a charm thanks
again ….. .
Some one should kik the ass of the honda engenere to keep running this box
year after year
No they don’t. Someone even honked at me randomly one time and I turned on
the headlights and they sort of nodded their head. So I’m guessing no the
lights don’t go on until I manually do it.
This information is great! Both High and Low beam were not working on 97
Passenger side Accord. Low beam was burnt out but high beam was getting no
power bulb was fine. Checked fuses, all fine, then found this. Pulled the
circuit board out from that box, re-flowed the solder on all the relay
connections, put it back in and it works! 😀 Thank you very much!
Hey man just finished. Took about 20 mins. Awesome vid thanks for the help.
The little grey box was much easier to access than yours. Its right below
the steering colum. I had to solder 5 spots… I see how they crack and
seperate.. Thanks again my wife will be much safer on her commute this
winter with some high beams
Wicked! thanks for the feedback. What is the year of the Civic? (just so
other ppl can see)
Thanks you so much for you video and fix. Fixed my 2001 Acura EL today.
Only one solder joint looked a bit suspect, but I touched up a few more
that seemed to be the problem for others.
You are very welcome. Your feedback made my day. I will add “Pathfinder”
and “Nissan” to the tags. Cheers.

@busyguys Smiling politely.
Dude you rock!!!
98 Honda Accord, you don’t need to remove anything, just look under the
dash and you’ll see the grey box. remove the wire conector and I used 2
flat screw drivers to remove the board and soldered the relays PINs and
voilà!!! Thanks a lot illegal for this video !!!
I have 2003 American Honda Accord which does not have DRL but i want to add
it. Do you know how to ?? Thanks in Advance.
you saved me 200 bucks plus tax! THANK YOU
You nailed it right on the head. Thanks for the video. One less dollar in
the stealerships pocket!!!
wc
Thank you! my Honda 2002 DRL is now fix thanks to you!
Yes there is a module you can purchase, It is a simple hook up under the
hood, I believe that you just wrap a wire around your number one spark plug
wire to feed the signal to the module (and of course give the module 12volt
power supply) . I have heard it can be found for aprox $50 CAD,,,probably
cheaper in the US. I recommend looking on Ebay. Hope this helps.
It will also work for this relay model RZ-0089
@MissCarole2005 Do you mean “where is it located”? Most of the modules are
in the same general location. Check some of the comments to this video for
others input or just call the junkyard/scrapyard or even the dealership.
I hate daytime running lights. I am trying to figure out how to disable
them.
thats awesome man. Your welcome.
