So had you already removed the IM bracket to remove the starter bolt? I
head in the EP3 you had to remove the whole IM to get to that bolt but I am
thinking there ought to be a way to simply remove that one bracket. My
engine is original unmolested with 140K miles so I am thinking I might have
other issues to deal with.
I have a k24 swap but I believe its the same in the k20a3. I just removed
the starter bolt from the bottom. I never had to touch the intake manifold
or any of the bolts on it. Maybe you are talking about the upper starter
bolt, I’m not sure.
Appreciate the fast reply, I was referring to what is shown on a post by
risktypeS in honda-tech. His post for the EP3 refers to a bolt that cannot
be reached without taking the IM out, however, the service manual does not
have that step either.
Bravo!
Ty for the video this helps out a lot!!!
