Total garbage engines yet the internet spends all day trashing Ford, GM, Dodge, Hyundai/Kia while jocking Honda, Toyota, and Subaru. Those three get a pass for every trash engine they have. Ironically, the Ford Cyclone engines which include a 3.5 variant may be the best V6 engines ever made. At the same time Honda was putting out this trash 3.5 and Toyota was putting out trash GR 3.5.
Just change the gasket instead spending more money to change the whole thing, by an aftermarket gasket and put the old strainer on the new gasket and clean it
Disable vcm to save the motor. VCM is garbage
Where can I se the next video ?thanks
Damn, I didn't know this was such a common problem. My mechanic said it was valve cover and had those replaced. Still ruined alternator. Didn't know oil could leak from this part too. Man, THANK YOU!!!! what a headache this has been.
Do you have to replace the whole solenoid, or can you just replace the gasket on the solenoid?
Please post video on this. My daughter has a 2009 accord and we've replaced 2 alternators so far. I just dont know where to get the gaskets from or order whole thing from dealership and tear it down.
I've bought 3 alternators in 4 years because of this.
It's just the gasket that leaks not the whole unit
What did you replace ?
What good has come from VCM? 1 mpg improvement? Not worth the damage.
