hey, thanks for the video, your acura tl is exactly like inside my honda
accord. did you have to jack up the engine? if so how far up would i have
to jack up and preparations do i need to do including tools before the
replacement?
The damn front motor mount isnt even listed by acura. All they have in
their database is front- left, rear, and tranny mount. I had to go look at
a diagram of the engine to find the part number. And it turns out to be
about 200 dollars. Looks like im stuck with less torque.
You do not need to remove engine bracket for mount to unbolt and remove.
Also remove that power steering reservoir (red cap). It slides upwards (it
is not bolted by factory) and put it aside making space for that front bolt
to be removed. You just need three bolts to remove (center one on top
included and no bolts from bracket to the engine). the whole work should
take 20-30 minutes per mount. It took me 13 hours on Mazda miata due to
tight spaces and assembly required under steering shaft.
how much did the mount cost u ? It cost me 70 bucks>>
Yeah my friend found one on ebay for for 60. but i dont know about it
considering its made in taiwan or something. So im debating buying it, dont
want to spend 60 and have it break

from. it’s usually about 20% cheaper than the dealer.
I am happy to see this. I diagnosed the problem by watching eric the car
guys video on diagnosing suspension noises…noticed…hmmmm. That’s what
my car is doing and I already knew my engine mount seemed to need replacing
but didn’t know that was the cause of the metal on metal action in my front
end. With this video I will save a ton of money. THANKS!!

I would check the side one on your own if that looks good then gold off on
replacing them. The mount in the back is really difficult to get to and
will cost you good amount of money
So how’d you lift the engine? and from where?
to lift the engine you will need a jack and a block of wood. put the wood
(2×4 or 2×6 is sufficient) on top of the jack lift. Jack up the jack with
the wood on top under the oil pan. The reason you use the wood is to
disperse the weight so that the jack doesn’t puncture the oil pan. You
don’t have to lift it up much at all. Just enough to take the
weight/pressure off of the motor mounts.

I don’t remember what I Payed for the front mount but it was less the 200,
I think it was about 120 or so
