Great video and DIY. Just out of curiosity instead of using nails I’m thinking just buying stainless steel (hardened) dowel pins. You mentioned 3-3.5mm diameter, what would the length for each pin need to be? (I’m trying to avoid using bolt cutters and getting a pin that won’t wear out). thanks!!!

Bùi Đăng Bình says:

very helpful, thanks

Douglas Johnson says:

Great Video, super easy. What a difference that new checker makes. I hung the door panel with a bungee chord.. Took 20 minutes.to complete. Off the wife’s bad list because the door closed on her countless times. I spent the $14.00 for a new checker. Again thanks.

Anthony Kenney says:

Where can you get the plastic door trim removal tool?

Miguel Buitrago says:

Who the hell has all those tools?? I sure as hell don't. $10 a door is a much better option than having to spend your entire day off doing all this. No thanks

Techno says:

Thanks for the video. It encouraged me to replace all four door’s checker. Just one tip for the two front doors (Driver and front passenger), it would be easier if you unplug the wire coming from the motorized side mirror. Again this is just for the front door. Also I over tightened the Bolt/Fastner that connects the checker with the car and it broke half. Had to remove it and order new one from Acura parts. Learnt some good lessons for future. Once again, many thanks for the video.

Scott says:

Excellent video!!! No nonsense, no unnecessary comments, right to the point.

Austen LeJeune says:

Orrrrr orrrrr hear me out. Unbolt the fender and insert a metal washer between the roller and the stopper that it rolls on, from the other fender side of the door wedge. Trust me.

B Pel says:

Great trick for fixing those checkers. Absolutely great. The drilling part can be a bit tricky, but this definitely works.

Ken Arcillas says:

Do you think this problem is included in a extended warranty?

NYC. BT. says:

Hi acura adicted.. as I ask few questions in the past I for got to ask you if you have an idea why 2010 mdx idle is a bit higher than the other suv that I previously owned when is on parking it sound a bit loud from the cabin and it doesn’t satisfy me quite the way I like as I say it not normal to me I owned so much vehicle and this one is not normal for me

NYC. BT. says:

Is very important to save money in any aspect and this guy really do and if we plan to do all this simply repear at any shops specially to the dealer we just gonna end up up pocket broked because luxury cars really are costly to maintain
