I highly recommend research Consumer reports and look up used Acura TL
then, click reliability, you will notice as you read down the list that the
2008 Acura TL doesn’t have a good electrical system at all. Just trying to
help.
I’ve since changed the battery, removed the many keys attached to my
keychain which is bad for the ignition, and it has stopped. It might still
be the starter like everyone says, but until it happens again, I am good.
I has that same problem with my Acura and it was the ignition switch, at
least you were somewhere safe mine failed while I was driving in GA traffic
on the highway!!! ok imagine that and the Acura dealership was 16 miles
from where I was!! I researched it online that night at acurazine an acura
forum and i took it upon myself to get the ignition switch from an auto
store and asked a mechanic to put it in for me…its ok now but im
monitoring the situation…check out the Recalls on the car!
My 2006 TL JUST started doing the same thing but not as bad. Only does that
1 out of 10 times. Will it get worse? It’s an automatic too, I hope it
doesn’t set me back too much money.
it never just died on me while the car was running . it just didn’t start .
I didn’t change anything does not happen anymore . keep ur keychain small
otherwise it can hurt your ignition
Where is the starter on acura tl?
STARTER PROBLEM !! 🙁

this is happening to me right now.. i changed the starter and its still
happening… could it just be the batttery????
haven’t replaced the starter yet , maybe problem will happen again in
winter time
turned out to be the clutch switch or whatever it’s called, try step on it
harder and faster , or bypass it . saved me money!
It also could be the key ignition hole, if it was cranking i would say it
was your fuel pump but its not even turning over.
If the battery is good then it could be the starter
