Thank you for this video…now I know what to do to access this starter. Is it possible at all to access the starter from beneath the car?

@JohnWhite-mf8vz says:

My 07 mdx had a battery drain for years, I couldn't fix it, I would turn off my vehicle and if it sat for 2 days + the battery would be drained so I thought, I would get the clicking when I turned the switch, then one day it just didn't start anymore, leaving me stranded. I seen videos about the hands-free module going bad and causing the drain. So I unplugged the module, it didn't drain the battery as fast so I thought I was close, so bought a new battery(2nd one) the first battery from the dealer was swelling, so I just ate the bill, and went to Autozone and got a new battery, then when my vehicle didn't start any longer, I removed the battery, replaced the negative terminal, then the battery box bracket, and tried to touch the terminals and tap on starter, the tapping didn't work which was strange but touching the starter solenoid did but it was really weak, thought it was the battery again, so after charging the battery and using a battery jump box for 4 hrs I accidentally saw that the wire connecting the solenoid to the starter, was broken, whomever had this car before me tried to weld it and it held for a while but it finally broke leaving me stranded! So I removed the starter replaced it, never had a drain issue nor a starter problem again. There were times or signs of a bad starter years before I would go out to start my car and it wouldn't turn over, I had power and I had lights, but nothing, I would just place my car in neutral then start it, I was also told that the starter was part of the charging system. I could see that my HFL was not working when I went into the diagnostic system by pressing MAP+ CANCEL+ MENU. it's still unhooked, but now my A.C. outlet is blowing fuses so I'm tracking that down will keep you posted! Oh and I tried the rear passenger door panel as well to see if my wiring harness was frayed, it wasn't but my driver door panel harness was bad, had 3 wires broken so I replaced it, it's my own personal opinion that these car lots are putting GPS trackers on these vehicles and splicing into anything that is low current that comes on with the switch, I haven't found it yet but I bet it's in the A.C. outlet because it doesn't work, nor get power, but when you turn the switch on, engine off the fuse blows!!!! Sorry so long winded, jus hoping to answer all questions that one might ask!

Yah, I used to have this kind of patience. I just bought one yesterday, and it refused to restart after a stop. Lights, meters, settings alarms, everything except the spin and vroom. I am going to call my dealer in the morning and let him take it to his guy.

Looking at putting a turbo in my 2012 shawd but I can't find any other examples. Any suggestions on where to look or does anyone else already have one installed?

@KenyonPayne says:

I picked up an 05 MDX with trans issues, thought I could just get it running by going through all the shift solenoids and stuff but the trans is totally shot, got quoted 3K 🙁
