THANKS Coming from Los Angeles California!!!!!

VICINDIUS says:

why did Honda/Acura do this?

Dave Kliemann says:

Thanks! Replaced the battery in my 2007 Accord EX V-6 and even having the
code, the instructions in the owner’s manual were not clear. Had it done in
seconds after watching your video!

bobcsoftball says:

I have a 2008 Acura MDX. I replaced the battery this weekend. I have my
original 5 digit code. When I start enterring it, “error” comes up. After
several times trying, it locks out. I tried removing battery cables and
that does restart the opportunity to unlock, but the same thing keeps
happening. I see on other emails that removing the antenna connection could
help. Please help. You never know how important the radio is until you
don’t have it.

Factory Car Stereo Repair says:

Several things… You may not have the original stereo, so any code card
you may have could be incorrect. If the wrong code has been entered or
entered incorrectly you can lock the stereo up, “error”. Either remove one
of the main battery terminals for several minuted then reconnect to reset
the stereo. Or wait 1 – 3 hours with the stereo on to unlock on it’s own.

ckeyz1906 says:

ok i was listening to a cassette in my 94 Legend. it got jammed and it is
now stuck….. how do i get it out?

Neil Boynton says:

Thank you so much! I just replaced my car battery and faced this unexpected
problem. My code sticker was in the glove box.

Factory Car Stereo Repair says:

Either the code was entered incorrectly or you have the wrong code.

SF3751 says:

Thank you, thank you, thank you! Thought I was going to have to go to the
dealer for this. Luckily the code was stuck onto the glove compartment,
just like you said.

ChangMasterSupreme says:

i have a 1999 honda civic with an acura radio…how do i retrieve mine?

ajexander fatima says:

thanks

swhall72 says:

Much appreciated. This video helped me as well. One note, I found my serial
number on the side of the glove compartment but because I had the radio
replaced as part of a recall it didn’t. The 1 + 6 preset thing worked and I
was able to get the code by calling the dealership. Anyway, again thanks
for the video.

Lorelie Carvey says:

Thank you so much. This was very helpful and it worked! YES!!!!

teferre says:

You just saved me $100. That is what the Honda dealer wanted to charge me
for this. Thank you

game1ben says:

My only problem was the number being out of sync. I looked everywhere to
find a solution but it was never mentioned by any one else. Now it works
like a charm. Thank you good sir.

DjSonick says:

Very helpful thank you

Factory Car Stereo Repair says:

The video should answer all questions about retrieving the stereo code.

Factory Car Stereo Repair says:

You will have to wait with the stereo on for 10 minutes to one hour. The
stereo will return to “COdE”. Incorrect code entered will lock the stereo
up again. Check code card with serial number to stereo. If they match, this
is a stereo problem.

Asif Jamal says:

Thank you so much, your efforts are highly appreciated. Best Wishes

Abhishek Rawat says:

Thanks a lot. This video really helped.

Factory Car Stereo Repair says:

Call your local dealership for the code.

CFreShTV says:

thank you SO much

Factory Car Stereo Repair says:

Disconnect one of the battery terminals for several minutes, then
reconnect. This can reset the error problem. Or, the radio will reset if
left on for an hour.

tubealoha says:

Thank you!!!

monae means says:

I will be trying this tomorrow hopefully its works for me

KENYA ROBLES says:

You can do the 1&6 + power process, then call Honda/Acura at 1-800-999-1009
to get the code. If the car is 2001 and older, you may have to pull out the
radio to get the serial# if you can’t find that sticker , then call.
