Acura air mix/blend door actuator DIY FIX

Small video of how I fixed the air mix actuator on my 2002 Acura TL Type-S. Special thanks to Acurazine.com and user Karanx7 for posting the instructions.

Turning around the gear 180 degrees to the part that never touch any other gear is a brilliant idea. Thumbs up and thanks for posting.

Thanks for the info -Gave me the idea to repair rather than replace my actuator. My 2000 Accord was making a wretched sound when the climate control was running and I tracked it to the actuator module. After removing and disassembling the actuator, I didn't find any bad gears but I was able to repair by cleaning the contacts on the underside of the large drive gear. I also carefully bent the contact fingers outward so to make better contact with the drive gear. No more noise and the climate control is working just like it should. Thank you again for posting.
PS -And yes, I did break a couple of the retainer tabs when disassembling the unit but it was not a problem at all.

my air mix failed. But I went to my local salvage yard and got a couple from another TL for dirt cheap.
