03 CL-S is same as 03 TL-S. It’s not really necessary to put 2 screws back
on the rotors. put some anti-seize on the hub, and hardware so they wont
get rusty
The best way to push/reset caliper piston back into its ‘new pad’ position
is before taking it off. Take a long thinker flat head and insert it in
through the opening of the calipers, poking through to the outside of the
outside pad & slowly pry the piston back into the caliper
Those screws aren’t there to hold it on. They are they to make it centered.
There is too much play for the lug nuts to center the rotor. Those screws
have zero play once you tighten them down – making the rotor exactly on
center.
Good stuff and I really appreciate seeing this done. I’m going to change my
brakes tomorrow and I’m confident that I can do them after seeing your
video. Thanks, man. Couple thoughts: your body isn’t transparent and a
better camera placement for these vids might have been behind the wheel
well.
Question. I have a 2003 CL type S, 6 speed. (Same as TL except 2 door) Is
is necessary to re install those 2 Philips screws that hold the rotors on?
All my nissans didn’t have any, you just put anti-seize between the hub and
the inside of the rotor, and the torque of the lug nuts held the rotors on.

Instead of the clamp it took to much time a channel lock would of been
quicker just squeeze it closed
