Hi Bogdan, I am having a hard time finding OEM non ADS full assembly Struts and shocks in the US. Most are discontinued or no ETA on backorder. Any suggestions where can I get them? For aftermarket I was able to find KYB shocks, but they do not have full assembly of front struts. Should I buy KYB Strut, spring and mount for front or use another OEM product such as Gabriel or Monroe? I would appreciate the help.

Y. D. says:

Hi
Where is your video for the shock resistors
Thanks

Tsuyoshi Island Rider says:

Bogdon, Aloha from Hawaii, your videos are awesome! They are easy to follow. Mahalo (Thank you in Hawaiian) for making this video

Hansell Disla says:

@ Acura addicted how you doing Acura master ? I have a question when you decided to change the front strut you did it because they were making noise over potholes or the ride was harsh over the road? I ask you because my MDX had 172k and I don’t heard any noise over the potholes or something but I feel the harsh ride . I’m not the the first owner I bought it when it had 154k and I call the previous owner and he let me know he MDX is riding in it original strut. Thank you

Hi Bogdan, I have a 2007 MDX with the electronic suspension and plan on bypassing the system with resistors as the cost 4 replacing is 1k each. I plan on using these for the front 51601-STX-ao6 and the 51602-STX-a06 for the fronts – cost is about 315 each and replacing the rears with KYB 349025 about 53 bucks each.. does this seem ok? thanks for the video. PS I have 183k on my mdx and this is first shock replacement. thanks Rick

Rick S. says:

Great video. I couldn't quite convince myself to do this job myself so I had it done by a shop. My 2012 MDX has 84,000 miles on it. I provided the parts (KYB rear shocks, front struts (strut-only), and strut mounts (bearings) all from Rock Auto). I also provided the torque specs from your video. The result is no more 'clunking' sound going over bumps and less initial sway when cornering, however, the ride is definitely firmer than my worn shocks and probably a little more firm than stock. My only dissatisfaction with this project is that the right front strut makes a little 'pop' when I first back out of the garage and turn the wheel to the right. I'm thinking they disregarded my torque spec for the top flange nut and made it too tight and that the noise is the bearing at the top of strut tower getting moving. What do you think? Should I just re-torque them myself?

Mr.SеFa. says:

Bogdan thank you very much for the info, very helpful.

AeroSS87 says:

Do I use the camber kit for both lower bolts and nuts, or just one set and the standard bolts for the other, since there are two fasteners on each side?

Hansell Disla says:

@acuraaddicted ,hi I have a question maybe you are able to help me . I think my shocks are done because when I go through potholes it feels a lot but my question is worn out shocks can make the car feel like vibrating when go a 50 + miles. Thank you ..

Rigo’s Little Shop says:

I had replaced stabilizing links but noise did not go away. Clunking..you think go for the struts next? 170k miles on it 2007 acura mdx

Greate video

NYC. BT. says:

Hi how are you today,,my right struts are seems to be going bad is looking wet like if oil is coming out,, should I replace it and it comes with the springs and or only the shock it self thank you,,

rodie173 says:

Just changed struts, strut mount bushings, stablizer links, and sway bar bushing. Drives great. But now ABS and VSA lights on.
