You are correct. Your vehicle requires Matic K. I’ll post some diagrams on my pinerest page to help you. Cheers.
I HAVE A 05 ALTIMA 3.5 V6 WITH 5SPD AUTO I KNOW IT USES MATIC K CAN YOU HELP …..ALSO THE VG30DE ON THE 300ZX IS SIMILAR TO THIS VIDEO
I agree with dropping the pan because you also need to clean up the magnet that catched the metal shaving.
No need to drop the pan. This car has a drain plug.
So you do have to drop the pan?
Filter change isn’t required for this vehicle. (’97 Maxima)
do i need to change the filter?
It’s very similar. I’ll post some diagrams on my facebook page for your specific vehicle.
Would you say its a similar process for a nissan altima 2005?
No problem. Glad to help. Cheers.

Glad to help. Cheers.
thanks for showing this video now i know how many quarts of tranny fluid i need
There are a number of things to check. Water pump, cooling fans, thermostat, leaking coolant, etc. I would start with the cooling fans and go from there.
Hi Fadan. Is your check engine light on? How’s your tranny fluid look? Is it very dark in color?

Thanks Chuy612. I will have more very shortly. I try to upload once/week.
Love your videos keep them coming!
Hi Mackfar27. I didn’t drive the car and it was quite cool outside; so the ‘cold’ side was fine. You would use the ‘hot’ side of the dipstick if you drove around for a bit. (Temperature wise, 86 to 122 degrees fahrenheit the ‘cold’ side is used and 123 to 176 degrees fahrenheit the ‘hot’ side is used.) Thanks for commenting.
So you fill this up, then check it on the cold side? I assume when driving it for the first time after the fluid change, you verify by checking the dipstick on the hot side?
