A walk through of how to take out and put in a new alternator for my Land Rover LR3 2007. Basics are loosen the belt. unbolt and unplug the alternator and swap the new one in. Of note I was able to remove the serpentine belt without removing the air box or engine cover. I used a breaker bar to give me an extended reach.

Very helpful tutorial. Thank you! I wrote out the step-by-step notes and referenced them when I was working under the car. I had difficulty removing and then reconnecting the wiring harness. The top bolt wasn't easy removing. I used two breaker bars that attached to each other, they had a swivel which allowed me to remove the belt easily.
I'd even replace the bearing when I got to replace receiver/ diodes. Bearings would cost 10£€¥$ Max

Great video, helped me swap mine today. Only call out, removing that back wiring harness was pretty difficult, but if you turn the alt nose up, after removing the three bolts, so the harness is in front of you, it’s much easier. Thanks for posting!
Kool video. Definitely know that its my alternator after watching this. I would give it go myself on the replacement but not too clear on the belt removal.
