Wow! Thanks so much for this! With this video I was able to change all the brake lights in the back of my car, something I never thought I would be able to do on my own! Thanks so much! 🙂

Thanks for the tips!

SlamminUK says:

Sounds stupid but I’m stuck at the removing carpet stage. I can’t get it out and I don’t want to use a screw driver and rip it. Any suggestions?

TJ Stapleton says:

Would It be similar on my 2007 Rabbit?

complexkitty says:

Thanks so much for showing this! I’ve been wanting to replace my ’08 Rabbit’s tail lights with smoked cherry ones…now I’m sure I can handle it no problem. Also helpful for basic maintenance! If you’re interested in another easy DIY mod, I recently replaced my dashboard vent with a dash tray. I’ll be posting the video soon. Don’t know if that is something you are interested in doing or have done already, but it’s a nice addition to the storage area up front. Was cheap, easy and looks good.

Khun VW charged me 100+ bucks to switch out the bulbs. What a rip off.

Awesome! Thanks! All my lights seem to be going out on my Rabbit now. I am trying to do some things myself instead of giving the dealer like $50 every time I go there for a tail light.

NoblestoftheLIONs says:

Sorry end of July, I meant.

NoblestoftheLIONs says:

I’ve done much more since this vid. custom cold air intake (approx. $65 bucks, including custom fabricated heat shield). I now do my own oil change. Getting ready to bleed brake lines. Smoked out tail lights with vht nite shades. And will be getting C2’s 91 octane ECU upgrade in less than two days.
Lets just say the wife will have to beg me to restart work on the house after telling me no more house projects when the kitchen remodel was finished at the end of June….

jjchgo says:
