Only reason you have to take off AC compressor is because alt. Won't come out otherwise. I put bottom bolt in it to hold it up….good video.

Societal Decay says:

If you have a 6 cylinder model do not attempt to replace the alternator.

Eric Case says:

I just gotta say man of all these I've watched you have done well….thanks sir…

highrider91 says:

Very good video thank you!

Nathan bond says:

I would just like to add it is not necessary to remove the AC compressor I have replace the alternator on my 2010 Dodge and I never remove the compressor there is just enough room to Wrangle the alternator out from the top end of the motor if you turn it just the right way it will come out it's a pain in the ass but it can be done I've done it myself

Shawn Le Blanc says:

Talked a little fast, but very very helpful! Not to thrilled messing with the A/C compressor, but very detailed video!

Dewayne Mitchell says:

Good video but I'll just pay the $145 i was quoted and give this headache to someone else if i had all the right tools and a lift maybe

Aaron Wagner says:

Very well done. Appreciate the bolt sizes, belt routing diagram. Keep up the good work.

Nicole Noble says:

Question, so the connector wire to my ac compressor is ripped. Would that affect the my car? I replaced the alternator, and got new battery and my car still won’t stay on and the battery light is still on… car dies every 30 sec after I jump it.

DesireTalent Legacy says:

Thank you so much

James Blackburn says:

How long did it take to replace the altenator?

Brandon Sparks says:

Bro, belt routings diagram with your video?! Wow, A+. Instant sub from me. Thank you

Jaden Dawson says:

Thank you so much for this video. Very descriptive and detailed to get every step from start to end. I just had my alternator burn up after I was stuck in the snow, then got myself out of it after shoveling snow from the tires. Then later last night, my car was running low on power while driving and then couldn’t go through the bit of snow I was driving in. Then turned it off, which was when it wouldn’t turn over and start but lights and battery was good. Now I’m about to go start this process.

Even after watching the video I tried to do it my way and, nope. I tried not taking the compressor off and it was a pain so off with it. Tho I ended up removing and installing the alt from above. Some a** installed the lock washer on the wrong side and it was a headache to remove without damaging the cable. About to finish up but I had to comment. Great video.

lone shark says:

Wow great video thank u sir ……

james Baker says:

You are a life saver. You made it so simple a dummy could use and I did thanks again
