WOW lol…..are you apart of any froum with a progress blog i would luv ta read it if ya do
sounds fookin mint
“initial startup” is the very first time we fired her up after the basic install. As has been said she is running Jenvey throttle boddies but at this stage we hadn’t fitted the air trumpets or carbon airbox.
Hopefully out on the stages again later this year but the new shell prep is taking longer than expected.
Im sure its fuel injected being BTCC as injection is more efficient but looking at it, you might be right there…
not carbs you noob, itbs
what is Initial Startup. do it start different then normal?
ITB’s mate…..
Read the other posts 🙂
So when is it out on the stages next then? :op
they are throttle bodies without the trumpets fitted as yet, they tend to work a lot better with longer tract.
Great
Just LOVE the short stack carbs 🙂
Under load that engine must sound simply amazing 😀
That is one serious bit of kit !!!!
WOOOOOOOOOAAAAHHHHH!!!!
that sounds bloody awesome specially when its revved.
The full spec is based around a Gti6 motor and is an original works 2001 BTCC motor from the Peugeot factory team – run by Vic Lee Racing.
It has a billet crank, forged rods, custom pistons, full race head with titanium valves, billet cams, solid lifters, jenvey throttle boddies, longmans 4 branch manifold, twin plate clutch, billet flywheel, stand alone ecu system – total cost new today is in excess of £17k (with the ecu).
Thanks for all the great comments, to anyone who doesn’t believe…that’s cool…your choice.
Give Richard Longman a call who built my engine (along with most of the other original Peugeot btcc motors) – he will politely tell you where to go!
It idles nicely on full race cams due to the stand alone EFI Technoligies management system – again supplied/installed and setup by Richard.
Full race cams are only a pig at idle when running a basic carbs/ignition setup – not a
2k+ ecu!
nice :)
Doesn’t idle like a touring car engine, this is not running full race cams by the sound of it.
J’aurai été curieux de voir tut ça en oeuvre…genre petite caméra embarquée…
Got any more info on that car? Is it a newly built engine with btcc specs or is it a real btcc-engine?
ME WANTEE!
sweet m8,that’ll be really sharp
