Watch a full tutorial as a 2012 Subaru Impreza / Crosstrek will have a Backup Camera installed to an existing double din touch screen Radio. This camera will be installed in the license plate area to the a Pioneer radio installed in a previous video.
This video applies to Subaru Impreza and Crosstrek XV models for years 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016. For 2015 and 2016 model years, the dash bezel may be slightly different, but the technique used will be the same. This video includes complete wiring and installation of the camera.

Do the guide lines on the hu screen turn to reflect the turning of the steering wheel?
Is soldering the extension wire necessary? Or can you get away with twisting it in and sealing with electrical tape?
